The attackers have posted the company’s logo on their website and threatened to leak the stolen data if the company does not pay the demanded ransom. The extent of the breach and the stolen data are unclear at this time, but it could potentially include customers’ personal information such as credit card numbers, mailing addresses, phone numbers, names, and passwords, as well as recorded footage from home security systems. The attack could have severe implications for Ring’s customers and highlights the importance of implementing robust cybersecurity measures to protect against ransomware attacks.
